Nearby, you'll have access to two public beaches and a state park. Coco Plum is a convenient 9-minute drive, Sombrero Beach is just 18 minutes away, and Curry Hammock State Park is reachable in 11 minutes from the home.
This home is located in the peaceful Key Colony Beach neighborhood, providing quick access to the Atlantic or the Vaca Cut Channel, leading to the Gulf. Key Colony Beach offers local restaurants, golf courses, playgrounds, and be sure to explore Sunset Park.
**Please note there is currently construction on the same street as this home.**
Booking Policies:
Minimum Stay: A 7-night minimum stay is required by city regulations, with no exceptions. The city determines the maximum occupancy, and it cannot be exceeded, covering adults, children, and infants.
From November - April, there is an additional $150 charge/week for pool heat. We do recommend heating the pool during this time for optimal comfort and enjoyment. You may contact us if you do not want to have the pool heat on, for a $150 discount.
Cancellation Policy: We maintain a strict 60-day cancellation policy. If the cancellation is made at least 60 days before the arrival date you can cancel your reservation and receive a full refund, excluding processing and admin fees. If you cancel within 60 days of the arrival date and we are able to secure another booking for the same time by opening the calendar, you will receive a full refund, minus processing and admin fees. If we are unable to secure another rental for the specified time, the deposit will be the only amount refunded.
Contract: Upon confirmation of your booking by our office, you will receive an Adobe E-Sign contract for signing. Once signed, the contract will be automatically returned to us.

The house is wonderful! Very clean and fully equipped with all we needed. Me, my husband and 2 college kids enjoyed our stay. Had trouble with the WIFI, house contact unable to help with, but luckily we had brought personal hotspots so not an issue. I would recommend this house.

The house is great. There is plenty of space to spread out between the pool, wrap around porch, and in the interior. There are lots of doors and windows for a cross breeze. The kitchen is well stocked aside from sharp knives (zero). Bring basket coffee filters and coffee. There is plenty of fridge and freezer space and a helpful ice machine downstairs. The neighborhood is quiet and nice for walking, the grocery store is about a 15 minute drive. This would be a great place if you have a boat, easy to park and keep write off the back of the property. The rental company is easy to communicate with, check in was easy.

We stay in KCB every summer and were so impressed with this property compared to previous rentals. The property managers are great. Detailed, helpful & clear communications were provided. Perfect for our group of 7. The home was more beautiful and comfortable than we had hoped. The house was exceptionally clean and extremely well stocked!!! The kitchen was recently remodeled and we enjoyed cooking together. We spent some great family time outside enjoying the veranda's, pool and tiki hut! We were so happy with our choice and plan to book again for next year!!

We really enjoyed our stay at The Varanda House. We stayed here with some friends. The house is well maintained and the kitchen has been updated very nicely. The kitchen has an induction stovetop and I have never used one. It would have been nice to have some instructions on how to use it. Two of the bedrooms are pretty small, but it didn’t bother us. We enjoyed the pool and outdoor area and the refrigerator and ice machine downstairs was very handy. Overall we really liked staying here.

This is a nice property. I think this was my family’s fourth or fifth stay here. However, the property does have some maintenance issues. The dishwasher was not secure and every time the door was opened the dish washer tilted forward. There is a hole in the wall in the upstairs master bedroom. Toilet tissue holder in downstairs bath is broken. It would be nice if the downstairs bedroom a/c was tied in to the central system instead of the noisy window unit. Two of the decking boards fell off when stepped on ( deck board screws only penetrate the joist approx 1” with approx. 10” overhang on boards. All of the outdoor trash cans were full on Saturday when we checked in. Pleas take all of this as constructive criticism.

Perfect location for boaters. Very easy access to Atlantic and Bay. House is lovely, with plenty of outdoor space. No issues except for noisy clothes dryer which property manager said will be repaired.

We rented the Veranda House for 8 days in February, 2019 and had a wonderful time! The size of the house was perfect for our family of 6, including our 2 1/2 year old grandson.
We were particularly pleased that the pool area was completely fenced off from the house so that our grandson could not get into the pool area by himself. The pool is heated and quite small - ideal for a 2 1/2 year old to "swim" in with his toddler vest with arm floaties.
The house is ideally located for a trip to the Florida Keys, being about 1/2 way down the Keys - equidistant from both Key Largo and Key West.
There is plenty of shopping and a number of restaurants in Marathon which is very close to the City of Key Colony Beach where the Veranda House is located. There are also a number of beaches within easy reach of the house.
We hope to have the opportunity in the future to return to the Veranda House!

This is the 4th year we have stayed at the Veranda House in Key colony Beach Florida we have already booked for next year. Need we say more.
Our stay at the Veranda house was outstanding. The house was very clean and in a great location. It took less than 5 minutes to run the boat out to either the gulf side or Oceanside. It is also close to the marina, dive shop and grocery store. The kitchen was very well stocked and linens/towels were abundant. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. Unfortunately, a pipe leak required maintenance to come out and fix it; however, management was very responsive and non-intrusive to this issue. After each day out on the boat, we had a great time finishing off our day in the pool, and relaxing under the tiki hut. The boat dock was perfect with access to water and a fish cleaning station. We were entertained by the tarpon, sharks and manatees in the canal as my son cleaned fish. There was plenty of room downstairs to store/secure our boat and dive gear. Having access to the ice machine was an absolute DREAM; this saved us money and time each morning when prepping to go out in the boat. I do wish pets are allowed, because we missed having our dog with us. However,, we understand the purpose behind this requirement. Overall, we would definitely recommend staying at this house when visiting Marathon.
